Cu Chi Tunnels Wonderful maze underground

The desire of visiting one of the primary works in Vietnam War constantly urges me. Cu Chi Tunnels is where I chose to discover in my holiday in Ho Chi Minh City. I had a chance to know more about the hardest lifetime in war of Vietnamese.
Meeting Space in Cu Chi Tunnels

Meeting Space

The Vietnam War is always there in my mind, even before I decided to travel Vietnam. Like other visitors, I was captivated by the wonderful beauty of such destinations as Mui Ne beaches, I also have a dip in the cool water in Cat Ba Island, was traveling through the road from Hanoi to Lao border. However, the idea to visit one of the greatest works in the Vietnam War was always inspire me. I do not know how, but I was very interested in a war that it began and ended even before I was born.
With this attention, I traveled to Cu Chi Tunnels. Tunnels of this relic were built in 1940s as a camouflage protecting Vietnamese soldiers in the struggles against French colonists. Local people and soldiers together gradually extended the tunnels. They just used simple tools and bare hands to create the maze of tunnels. This work is particularly significant in the period of Vietnam War and the escalation of the United States in 1960s. Cu Chi Tunnels is not simply an underground tunnel system. It looks like a complicated maze existing under Cu Chi ground, or a town with a strong vitality. I believe that Chu Chi Tunnels is not just important for its role in Vietnam War, but it is also a great symbol of Vietnamese volition to live and to fight.

As being one of the unique Ho Chi Minh City attractions, Cu Chi Tunnels is about 70 km to the northwest of the city. I travelled to this place by bus, which is favored by most of tourists as its cheap price. With only US$4, I entered Cu Chi Tunnels. I was so astonished at the system of three floors with nooks and crannies like a cobweb. The first floor is able to against tanks and artillery. While, the second floor of five-meter depth can avoid small bombs. The last floor, the deepest one (from 8 to 10 meters), can withstand bombs with a large-scale destruction. In the tunnel, there are areas for living, meeting, and fighting with a total length of over 200 kilometers. Interestingly, there was no support of machines in constructing this tunnel, with simple tools as hoes and spades for exception. It is an important work of Vietnamese soldiers in 30-year fierce resistance to regain independence.

I spent nearly all of time touring around the tunnel and taking photos. However, I did not dare go further for that fear of meeting traps unexplored. Though I had no chance to visit all around the tunnel, but the image from it is beyond my imagination. Only by moving down a shorter distance in this tunnel do I understand the true reason for the victory of Vietnam, a little country that defeated a strong country. Apart from visiting the actual tunnel, I also tasted local tapioca in the natives. This dish has been popular considering that the wartime. In addition, I had time to see documentary films about the actual tunnel. I collected a wide range of interesting information about history, which allows you clarify my questions about Vietnam in the war. I was so pleased, as finally I reached essentially the most stunning defensive system in the entire world, witnessed an underground city however existing, and understand more in regards to the patriotism of Vietnamese.

Scenery of mountains together with the blue water surface, beside the ocean breeze processing into Halong luxury yachts dispel all the hot of the summer. Enjoying exciting Halong Bay scenery created U.S. A sensea of absolutely immersing during a distinctive natural landscape. Sitting on the deck, sipping a cool fruit crush, we tend to gave the impression to be  tiny once standing before the spectacular natural scenery.

Maybe most attractive and exciting experiences when the yacht parked next to the fishing village. We were comfortable to kayak or wave along the blue sea water. However, to experience all the grandeur of the nature and explore cliffs, contemplate birds passing over protruding ledges or touch thousand year old stones, the best way was by kayaking. Under the specific guidance of our instructors, the sailing became extremely simple and attractive. Each kayak had 2 passengers with 2 kayak paddles. When mastering the paddle, we were really excited when boating ourselves to visit the fishing village, contemplate activities of fishermen in their own village and admire the limestone islands. In addition, kayaking the paddle along the foot of the rocky mountains to explore new experiences was one of the most favorite pastimes of the large number of tourists going to Halong . When the kayak crept through the unnamed islands, we completely admired the beauty of coral reefs, the tiny fishes and the plenty of other interesting scenery. Islands, namely Hang Luon Cave, Ba Ham, Ba Trai Dao, Ba Ham, Dau Be, Hang Co...were appropriate spots for kayaking. Yet going to low caves, we had eventually to lie on the boat, using our hands pushing into the cave’ ceiling to enter. This feeling is actually memorable.

Vietnam market is the hottest market of Apple

According to a recent report of Apple, Vietnam has become the hottest market of this company. The revenue of Vietnam Apple market has tripled in the first half of 2014, especially the sales of iPhone has doubled.

Previously, Vietnam market hardly appeared in the annual report of Apple. In the quarterly meeting on April 23rd, Apple Board of Directors mentioned about the auspicious market in Vietnam, however. The revenue of Apple in Vietnam market has tripled in the first half of 2014, especially the sales of iPhone has doubled. The rate is expected to increase because the majority of Vietnamese consumers are generally young and interested in high technology, the number of people using Internet and mobile phone is rising, the middle class is forecasted to double by 2020.
Vietnam technology companies have been growing dramatically. A typical example is Flappy Bird, a game app which has become popular as a mobile game listed in the world’s top downloads. The Vietnamese purchase iPhones in Apple store which cost half the per capita income according to the figure of 2012. Nonetheless, they believed that it was deserved. Mrs. Pham My Linh, a 23-year-old office worker, said that an iPhone had the price equal to her 2-month salary. But she still bought it because it made her more confident when going out.

This demand is absolutely contrast to the current gloominess of Vietnam economy. Vietnam GDP has risen only 5.4 percent last year. According to economists, this figure is not corresponding to the rate of population growth and the potentiality of production in the country. Market researchers of smartphone businesses in Vietnam have stated that the demand of enhancing social status is the main reason for the increase of Apple sales. Simultaneously, programs of discounts, promotion, and payment assistance help consumers to afford luxury equipments which cost more than their average monthly income. The decrease in the consumption of public phones proved that Vietnamese people desire to move into smartphone market. Such things benefit not only Apple but also almost all tablet and smartphone manufacturers like Samsung or HTC.

According the figure released in January by the research firm GFK, smartphone accounted for 77 percent of phone sales in Vietnam last year. The number of sales increased by nearly 135% compared to that of the same period the last year. Meanwhile, the tablet sale tripled thanks to its 27 percent reduction in price.
Many large companies in the high-tech field are paying attention to Vietnam because the potential market here has not been fully exploited. The Vietnamese population is 90 millions, of which 15 millions has lived in 2 largest cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, only 30 millions have access to the Internet, and two thirds is under 30 years old. If Vietnam market is effectively exploited in the right way, the profit brought to companies will be a huge number.
