Winter is quite cold but not too harsh. The lowest point is about -5°C in January. There is usually snow in the mountains, so the winter in this country is relatively wet. When the winter ends, due to melting snow, the water level in rivers is high with occasional flooding. Whereas summer in this country is usually warm, the hottest month’s temperature is only about 24°C. Summer is also characterized by rain and storms. The highest average temperature falls July. Autumn generally begins in September, which is still relatively warm and dry.
