- Japanese Yen (JPY) is the official currency of Japan. Rate will vary depending on time when visitors change. When traveling to Japan, visitors should convert to JPY, as most supermarkets, shopping centers, restaurants, shops and hotels accept to pay in Yen, they will hardly ever accept US dollars or other foreign currencies.

- Japan is also the shopping paradise. But Japan adds VAT at 5%.
