However, in the south of the island, the climate features the tropical belt climate zone. Rainy season occurs mostly from May to June. From July to October, Taiwan often appears tropical storms. The north of Taiwan frequently appears cloudy in year because this area is located in the East China Sea.

Taipei is the most important and busiest city of Taiwan.
