The most important ecommerce event in Vietnam this year - Online Friday is expected to attract 2,500 enterprises in Vietnam, providing 15,000 promotions with the total revenue of 500 billion dong.

On 16 July, Information Technology and Ecommerce Department (Under Ministry of Industry and Trade) coordinated with relevant units to organize a press conference on conducting Vietnam Online Shopping Day which will take place on 4 December. As planned, OnlineFriday 2015 will have the participation of more than 2,500 enterprises. The total revenue is 500 billion dong (about US $25 million). Vietnam Online Friday 2015 will welcome registration on the official site: www.onlinefriday.vn.
The Online Friday 2015 will be held on the first Friday of December (4 December), which brings a chance for consumers to enjoy big sales. After the registering period, thousands of promotions will convergence on OnlineFriday.vn. All is ready for the biggest Shopping Day in Vietnam. Apart from promotions used to applied in the first program (December 2014) such as free delivery, big sales, golden moment promotions, and gifting..., Vietnam consumers have more chances to get many incentives with online payment such as cash-back 20% when paying by card, and free online register. With an upgraded system, customers can compare and evaluate promotion of businesses, exchange and claim dissatisfactions.

This will be highlight of these events towards Onlin Shopping Day 2015.
From now, enterprises can access the site onlinefriday.vn to register two programs. To take the online shopping activity closer to consumers, the Online Shopping Day in 2015 will be held offline events associated with online activities. With the involvement of the electronics business and large online supermarkets, consumers can shop and interact with businesses at the offline events with many unique promotions such as free shipping, discount shock, golden hour promotions, gifts...

In particular, this year's program will have Autumn Shopping Day held on Friday 28 August. This will be highlight of these events towards Online Shopping Day 2015. Also at the press conference, the organizers have announced a Logo Design Contest OnlineFriday.VN (held from 16 July to 31July 2015) with total prize of 50 million dong, of which cash was donated to 20 million dong for the first prize, the individual votes prize is 10 million dong. This is a practical activity to search and honor ideas of businesses and community in designing the official logo, brand identity for online shopping day which is approved by the government to be held annually. Online shopping day took place for the first time in December 2014 with the participation of 1,000 enterprises. The units received 160,000 orders in total, and 3.2 times higher than usual. Sales in a day was worth 154 billion dong (equivalent to US $ 7.5 million), 2.5 times higher the normal turnover. Best-selling products are technology goods, fashion and household items, accounting for over 80% of total orders.
