took flights
from Ho Chi Minh City had to transfer at cities in China
like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai or Nanning before having landed in Chengdu.
According to Pingshu, currently, almost passengers on flights between Ho Chi Minh and Chengdu are still Chinese. Therefore, Sichuan Airlines wants to stimulate and increase tourists from Vietnam. Pingshu said that the airline was now issuing discount tickets for Vietnamese tourists via tour operators holding tours to Chengdu and other tourist spots nearby. Passengers who book tours to Chengdu will receive preferential ticket prices for flights to Chengdu and return flights to Vietnam.
