Wat Xieng Thong own a large campus with many large and small works as  a main temple in the classical architectural style of Luang Prabang with three-storey roof facing the ground; Tripitaka built in 1828; tower hanging drum (1961); a small temple with the Reclining Buddha and several smaller buildings scattered. The famous Buddha statue of Xieng Thong was once displayed in Paris Museum in 1931, then was kept in Vientiane and returned Luang Prabang in 1964.

In addition, Wat Xieng Thong is famous for murals depicting the story of Buddha, made by Mosaic art. On major holidays of the year, Xieng Thong becomes busy and bustling with thousands of tourists flocking to the temple to contemplate the true golden Buddha statue or to participate in Buddha bathing ceremony.

Pak Ou: Located in the north of Luang Prabang, visitors can come to Pak Ou cave by boat or road transportation. This cave is well-known for small wooden Buddha statue on the cliff. Buddha statues in Pak Ou cave are relatively diverse, expressing the different forms of the Buddha.

Phou Si Mountain: is an ideal place to admire the panoramic view of Luang Prabang. In Lao language, Phou means mountain and Si means color. This mountain is about 80m high with more than 300 steps leading up the mountain made of bricks with the airy spaces for visitors. On Phou Si top is 20-meter-high Chom Si tower with a hall worshiping Buddha, a Buddha statue weighing about 50kg and so many other beautiful statues with gentle face, long slender fingers and Naga snake head.

New Vietnam Airlines uniform now in test

On two special flights number VN257 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City in March 7th and VN236 flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi in March 8th, Vietnam Airlines has performed new uniforms and gave the survey forms to hundreds of passengers. The flight had the participation of singer Thanh Lam, musician Quoc Trung and designer Minh Hanh - the main designer of new uniforms of Vietnam Airlines"The long dress is beautiful.  The color is elegant, especially yellow" Ms Mai Hoa, the passenger in business class on the flight No.VN257 commented.
An Australian passenger, Ms. Kate Smith felt surprise when watching this performance that she has never seen on the plane. "On the way to Hanoi, I see the attendants in red long dress.  But this time they wore yellow and blue uniforms.  Personally, I love these two colors because they are more elegant," she said. However, there are additional comments with new uniforms. Mr. Tran Tien in Hanoi said that new uniform is still quite hard compared to the traditional long dress, especially the waist.  In term of the elegant color and dynamic design, Mr. Tien said the collar needs more innovation and further split to create the comfort for the wearer.

A female flight attendant said she likes the new uniform because it is convenient for her work.  And another staff commented this costume help the movement more easily, except that the lock is designed behind the back, making it difficult to wear than normal.
These are two of many Vietnam Airlines flights testing, introducing and collecting passengers' comments of VNA uniforms.  After several rounds of research, concept development and consultation of the leading experts in the field of art, fashion, this introduction to collect the public opinion is the final step to complete new uniforms before officially put into operation in late May, 2015 - at the same time putting into operation the new Boeing 798-9 aircraft, Airbus A350-900 and change the whole new brand identity system. 
The experiment was also aimed at ensuring the safety, convenience and suitability of uniform samples in real conditions. Located in the overall plan to upgrade the quality service up to the 4-star standard and renew the fleet with new generation and modern aircrafts in the world, the brand identity system of VN Airlines will also be changed under the modern trend while keeping the image of Vietnam Airlines, the representative image for the country that is dynamic, constantly innovate and develop. Being an important item in the brand identity system, uniforms of Vietnam Airways will also be changed to fit the overall direction, the color of logo, aircrafts and other items such as lounge, ticket counters, signs...

Vietnam Airlines expands flight network

Vietnam airlines is the leading national airline of Vietnam. With the purpose of serving best for both domestic and international passengers, in 2014 the airline is constantly evolving and expanding routes to many destinations in the country as well as other countries around the world.

With the slogan of bringing new horizons and new experiences to passengers, Vietnam Airlines has contributed greatly to the development of Vietnam tourism. During the past years, Vietnam Airlines has exploited routes to 21 cities and provinces through the country, and 28 international destinations in 26 countries and territories. Recently, there have been two new routes launched from Vietnam to Japan, Hanoi Haneda and Da nang Narita.
In 2006, after achieving the prestigious certificate on safety exploitation of International Air Transport Association (IATA), Vietnam Airlines officially became a member of the association and confirmed its international-standard quality service. On June 10, 2010, Vietnam Airlines officially became the 10th member of the global airline alliance - SkyTeam. This event marked a great development of the company in successful integration into the international market. By virtue of this event, Vietnam flights network has been extended to over 1000 destinations worldwide.
Two new international routes to Tokyo, the capital of Japan are from Hanoi to Haneda and from Da Nang to Narita. Accordingly, the routes between Hanoi - Haneda is mined from early July 2014 with 07 flights per week and route of Da Nang - Narita is exploited from July 16, 2014 with 04 flights per week, by Airbus A321, departing at 11:10 AM on Wednesdays and 10:40 AM Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Da Nang International Airport.
On opening these new routes, ticket sales incentive programs for passengers are launched from now to the end of this year. The price of a round-trip ticket on the route Hanoi - Haneda is 6.315.000VND (approximately US$ 299), which applies to retail customers buying ticket in Vietnam to June 15, 2014. These flights departed from July 1 to July 15, 2014. Meanwhile, round-trip airfare on route Da Nang - Narita is 7.375.000VND (approximately US$ 349); tickets are sold from now to December 31, 2014. Passengers will departure from July 16 to December 31, 2014. These airfares do not include taxes, fees, charges and surcharges. Price converted to VND can change according to bank rate at time of booking.

Two new routes will help the airline strengthen its position as the airline exploits the most direct routes with the highest frequency, connecting 3 major cities of Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho chi minh City and Da Nang) with 4 ones to Japan (Tokyo,OsakaFukuoka and Nagoya). The exploitation of Haneda Airport in parallel to Narita Airport in Tokyo will create nonstop flights to meet the needs of business travelers, and convenient connections with domestic flights in Japan. Simultaneously, it will help Japanese passengers in Vietnam travel and vice versa, thereby, contributing to tourism in Da Nang and other central provinces of Vietnam.
The route of Da Nang - Narita is the 10th one from Vietnam to Japan of Vietnam Airlines, bringing the total number of the airline to 62 flights / 1 week. At the same time, it has expanded flights network up to 95 routes (55 domestic and 40 international lines) to 29 international points and 21 domestic points. This is the first route opened between Da Nang and Tokyo, as well as the 3rd international routes departing from Da Nang after routes to Siem reap (Cambodia), and Seoul(South Korea) of the airline.
In addition, on January 12, 2014, Vietnam Airlines officially launched international route of Vinh - Vientiane. After months of operating the routes, the number of passengers increases more, which contributes significantly in the development of tourism the two countries, along with creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese people and Lao ones to have mutual understanding about each others cultures.

Vietnam Airlines news on the top ten airports in the world

According to Vietnam airlines, the list of Word Airport Awards was announced in Barcelona, Spain. The Award based on the result of the poll conducted by Skytrax the organization specializing in tourism and consulting.

1. Changi, Singapore
The airport of Singapore has cinema, swimming pool, garden and quiet trails. The facilities and unique architecture here make guest feel comfortable and help it surpass two other airport to become the best airport in the list.
2. Incheon, South Korea
